2000 Plymouth Prowler Roadster
2000 Plymouth Prowler
It's not a power mongering muscle car by any means. Simply put, it's a cruiser. It's a car that's all about style and enjoying the open-air experience of simply driving. This is a fun car that'll attract a lot of attention with its unique design. The Plymouth Prowler was in production for only 2 years under the Plymouth name. It's a great find for any car connoisseurs' collection.
Rated at 253 horsepower @ 6,400 rpm and 255 foot-pounds of torque @ 3,950 rpm, the Prowler can get you 0-60 in seven seconds flat. Aside from its 1930's roadster appearance, the design is as modern as it gets. It was actually designated the Prowler AIV, which stands for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle. About 900 pounds of aluminum were used in the hood, front side panels, doors, rear deck, frame, bumpers, front-suspension wishbones, and seat frames. This dramatically decreased the overall weight of the car. It has plastic motorcycle type fenders over the front wheels. It has a smooth 4-speed automatic setup for a casual cruise with power to get you where you need to go. The transmission features a manual gear mode with the AutoStick setting. This 2000 Prowler is a simple car that's fun to drive with all the features you need for cruising with a smile.
Inside the leather seats are comfortable and supportive. The cockpit design is nicely laid out with a unique center panel arrangement for all of your gauges. It has all the basics, like a stereo, A/C, Heat, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, but it's still the roadster feeling that sets this car apart from others. This model was upgraded with a 6 disk CD player for your listening pleasure. When motoring around town the low profile windshield really gives you the freedom of open air driving.
Plymouth built the Prowler with few options and placed more of their emphasis on designing a simple car that pays homage to the American Hot Rod.
This Prowler was professionally detailed to bring back its luster. We performed a 57-point inspection and found no major mechanical problems. For a car that is destined to be a collector, and is in great condition, it's a deal you can hardly pass up.
